Children’s Activity Fund
The Children’s Activity Fund (CAF) is a North Berwick and Coastal Area Partnership funded programme giving children aged 0 - 12 years the chance to take part, experience a range of activities, be active, connect with others and enjoy the best that East Lothian has to offer.
CAF received £12,000 to fund eligible children to attend holiday and term time activities that will provide fun opportunities, especially to those most adversely affected by low income and the Cost-of-Living Crisis.
-
We are pleased to be able to offer full and partial funded places at many activities for children aged 0-12 years to priority families in the area.
The eligibility criteria for funded places (subject to availability and funds available) are:
Families in receipt of benefits and low-income families.
Children with additional support needs.
Those who are care experienced or are young carers.
Those in receipt of an access to leisure card.
Funded places are available by referral only.
-
All children must be referred into the service through their school, GP, health visitor or other professional.
-
Activities are available for pre school and primary aged children ranging from those which are free for all children to attend, those which offer reductions through their pwn processes and others which can be funded through CAF funding.
-
East Lothian’s Council’s programme designed to make fitness accessible for all.
Provides discounted access for individuals and families on low incomes or with health and mobility issues.
